Dr. Doron Kabiri: specialist in Maternal-Fetal Medicine

Dr. Doron Kabiri is an obstetrician and a specialist in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Senior Lecturer at the Hebrew University–Hadassah Medical School. He serves as a senior physician at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Hadassah University Medical Center in Jerusalem, where he directs the High-Risk Pregnancy Clinics, the Center for Preterm Birth Prevention, and the Hadassah Bet-Shemesh Women's Health Center.
He trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Hadassah and later honed his knowledge and skills in the area of Maternal-Fetal Medicine during a fellowship in the Perinatology Research Branch of the NICHD/NIH in the United States, with the maternal-fetal world expert, Dr. Roberto Romero.
After completing his fellowship program in the United States, Dr. Kabiri established Hadassah’s Center for Preterm Birth, for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of preterm deliveries.
National and international professional societies have honored Dr. Kabiri for his medical and scientific contributions. He has received research excellence awards from the Israeli and American Societies for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, was selected as a Top Reviewer by the editors of the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology, and has twice received the Dean's Award for Excellence in Teaching from the Hebrew University–Hadassah Medical School. He has published more than 60 peer-reviewed scientific publications, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses, two book chapters, and serves as Associate Editor of Frontiers in Medicine (Section of Obstetrics and Gynecological Medicine). His ongoing research, supported by competitive grants from the Israel Innovation Authority, includes an international multicenter randomized controlled trial for the prevention of spontaneous preterm birth.

Teaching & Mentorship: Supervises PhD and MSc students at the Hebrew University–Hadassah Medical School. Twice received the Dean's Award for Excellence in Teaching (2020, 2021).

Hadassah Research Excellence Award (2025) for the Lioness publication in the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
